Terms of Use

Last reviewed: 2026-07-17

These terms explain the conditions for using ChargeEstimateKit and its calculators, guides, examples, and other content.

Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using this site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use ChargeEstimateKit. You must use the site only where doing so is lawful and consistent with any rules that apply to you.

Planning information only

ChargeEstimateKit provides educational information and planning estimates for EV charging, battery charging, charging cost, range, and charger power. Results are based on the values you enter and simplified formulas. They are not live prices, vehicle telemetry, utility tariffs, installation assessments, or guaranteed real-world outcomes.

The site does not provide electrical, installation, safety, billing, tax, legal, maintenance, or other professional advice. Check important decisions against current utility or charging-app information, official vehicle and charger documentation, applicable rules, and a qualified professional when appropriate.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for choosing accurate inputs, interpreting estimates in context, and verifying any result before relying on it. You are also responsible for your vehicle, charging equipment, electrical system, accounts, devices, and compliance with applicable laws, codes, permits, and service terms.

Permitted use

You may use the site and its results for lawful personal, educational, or internal planning purposes. You may not misuse the site, interfere with its operation, attempt to bypass its security, introduce harmful code, use automated requests that unreasonably burden the service, impersonate the site or its operator, or present estimates as official or guaranteed results.

Intellectual property

ChargeEstimateKit's original explanatory text, site design, branding, and code are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not republish, sell, frame, or misleadingly reuse substantial portions of that original material without permission. This restriction does not claim ownership of public facts, common mathematical formulas, or third-party materials identified by their respective sources.

Third-party links and services

The site may link to government agencies, manufacturers, utilities, charging networks, and other third parties for reference. Those services control their own content, availability, privacy practices, and terms. A link does not mean ChargeEstimateKit endorses or guarantees the third party, and you should review the third party's current information directly.

No warranties

The site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the extent permitted by applicable law, ChargeEstimateKit makes no warranties about uninterrupted availability, completeness, accuracy, suitability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Charging conditions, prices, vehicle behavior, and regulations can change after content is reviewed.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, ChargeEstimateKit and its operator are not liable for losses, costs, damage, or claims arising from use of the site, inability to use it, input errors, reliance on an estimate, third-party services, or decisions made from site content. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Changes and availability

Content, calculators, features, and these terms may be corrected, updated, suspended, or discontinued when needed. Material changes will be reflected on the published page, but the site cannot promise uninterrupted access or advance notice for every technical or editorial change.

Severability

If a provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent allowed by law. A failure to enforce one provision does not waive the right to enforce it later.
