About ChargeEstimateKit
ChargeEstimateKit is a practical calculator site for everyday EV charging and battery charging estimates. It is built to help you estimate charging time, charging cost, driving range from kWh, charger power, and general battery charging time from values you enter yourself.
The calculators use simple formulas and user-entered values such as battery size, state of charge, charger power, electricity price, efficiency, voltage, and amperage. The goal is to make common charging math easier to check and compare.
ChargeEstimateKit does not use live station prices, a vehicle specification database, or a utility rate database. For cost estimates, use the current rate from your utility bill, charging app, station screen, or electricity plan details.
What this site helps with
- Estimate EV charging time from battery size, charge level, charger power, and efficiency.
- Estimate charging cost from kWh, electricity price, charging efficiency, and session fees.
- Compare home and public charging using user-entered rates.
- Convert kWh into estimated EV range from vehicle efficiency.
- Estimate charger power from voltage, amperage, phase, and power factor.
- Estimate general battery charging time for power banks, portable stations, and small devices.
What this site does not do
- It does not provide live station pricing.
- It does not use a vehicle specification database.
- It does not replace a utility bill, charging app, station screen, or manufacturer manual.
- It does not provide electrical, installation, tax, billing, legal, maintenance, or safety advice.
How calculations are built
Each calculator uses simple formulas shown on the calculator page. Inputs are intended to run in the browser, and source notes are listed on the Sources & Methodology page.
